Embora a segunda edição, Flame Dragon 2: Legend of Golden Castle (炎龍騎士團2: 黃金城之謎), tenha ganhado alguma popularidade no mundo de língua inglesa, este título nunca despertou o mesmo interesse devido a gráficos menos atraentes e uma interface menos fluida. As mecânicas do jogo são quase idênticas às de Flame Dragon 2.
