「アミュレット＆アーマー」は、一人称視点のロールプレイングビデオゲームです。
ゲームは、異なる敵とさまざまな目的を持つ別々のレベルで構成されたクエストに分かれています。プレイヤーは、ナイト、パラディン、ローグ、傭兵、海賊、魔法使い、僧侶、市民、魔法士、ウォーロック、アーチャーの11人のデフォルトキャラクターから選択します。プロモーションによれば、ゲーム全体の舞台は「アリウス城の地下カタコンベ」に設定されていますが、実際にそのようなレベルはほんの数回です。
