《警察任務：追捕死神》 是 Sierra On‑Line 探案系列的第一作，1987 年 11 月 發行 DOS AGI 版本，1992 年推出利用 SCI 1.1 引擎和 VGA 接口的重製版。由 Jim Walls 設計。
玩家控制 Lytton 市警探 桑尼·邦茲（Sonny Bonds） 調查交通事故，追蹤代號「死神」的毒梟 杰西·貝恩斯（Jesse Bains）。全程必須仿照實際警務流程行事，如不依程序操作便會判定任務失敗。
