「ウルティマ」は、オリジン・システムズ社によるオープンワールドファンタジーロールプレイングビデオゲームのシリーズです。ウルティマはリチャード・ギャリオットによって創造されました。エレクトロニック・アーツは1992年からこのブランドを所有しています。
ゲームは主に「ブリタニア」と呼ばれる世界で展開され、繰り返し登場する英雄はアバターで、最初に「アバター」と名付けられたのは『ウルティマ IV』です。これらの作品は主にファンタジー小説の範疇にありますが、サイエンスフィクションの要素も含まれています。
