「エックスコム：深海の恐怖」は、1995年にMicroProseがPC用に開発・発売した戦略ビデオゲームです。
テラーフロムザディープは2040年を舞台にしており、UFOディフェンスの出来事から40年後の話です。シドニアでエイリアンのブレインが破壊された後、そこに残された送信機が、何百万年もの間休眠していた地球の海の下にいるエイリアンのグループを目覚めさせました。目覚めたエイリアンは、航海する船や港の街を恐怖に陥れ、人間を誘拐して奇妙な遺伝子実験を行います。X-COMは、最初のエイリアン戦争の後に解体されましたが、この新たな脅威に対抗するために地球の政府によって復活させられました。エイリアンの最終的な目的は、復活させてはいけない存在である最高指導者を再び目覚めさせることです。
