『Silpheed（シルフィード）』 は、Game Arts が 1986 年に NEC PC‑8801 向けに開発した縦スクロールシューティングゲームで、1993 年に Sega CD、1989 年に Sierra により DOS 向けとして移植された。傾いた斜め視点による擬似 3D 表現と、ポイントで武器やミサイル、シールドなどを解禁していく進行型武装システムが特徴である。
近未来、テロ組織「Xacalite」が地球制御メインコンピューター Grayzon をハッキングし、植民惑星に対して「惑星破壊兵器」を使用して攻撃を開始。プレイヤーは SA‑08 戦闘機「Silpheed」の操縦士として、地球へ向かい脅威を阻止する任務に挑む。
