「プリンス・オブ・ペルシャ」は、1989年にブローダーバンドによってApple II用に開発・発売されたシネマティックプラットフォーマーゲームです。デザイナー兼実装者はジョーダン・メックナーです。中世ペルシャを舞台に、プレイヤーは名前のない主人公を操作し、悪の大宰相ジャファーを倒して囚われた王女を救うために一連のダンジョンを冒険します。
メックナーの最初のビデオゲーム「カラテカ」と同様に、「プリンス・オブ・ペルシャ」は流れるようなリアルなアニメーションのためにロトスコープを使用しました。このプロセスでは、メックナーは兄が白い服を着てアクロバティックなスタントをする映像や、「ロビン・フッドの冒険」といった剣士映画を参考にしました。
