Origin Systems
創世紀系列是指由目前被美商藝電收購的Origin Systems在遊戲資深製作人理查·蓋瑞特（現已在NCsoft工作）帶領下開發製作的一系列RPG。理查·蓋瑞特在本遊戲系列中作為「不列顛王(Lord British)」登場。
作為創世紀系列起源的是一款叫做Akalabeth的遊戲。本遊戲系列被認為是2D RPG的原型之作，HYDLIDE、勇者鬥惡龍等多數電子RPG都受到了創世紀系列的影響（或受到了被創世紀系列所影響的遊戲的影響）。本遊戲系列也推出過相關的漫畫與小說。

黑暗時代（The Age of Darkness）
描寫邪惡角色襲擊索沙利亞與地球，打倒他們的英雄的故事。
U4 - U6
啟蒙時代（The Age of Enlightenment）
匯入了三大原理與八大美德的概念，成為本系列故事的主幹。在U4的遊戲中描寫的就是主角逐漸理解並貫徹它們達到頂點而成為聖者（Avatar）的故事。與之相對，U5中則是描寫反面角色「黑刺王」扭曲了它們的價值觀，並使之如法律般強制執行所帶來的災難後果。U6中通過描寫與魔族從戰爭到和解的過程，提出了關於如何與價值觀相異的他者共存的問題。

守護者傳說（The Guardian Saga）
此三作描寫與不列顛尼亞最後的強大而邪惡的敵人——守護者的戰鬥。守護者擁有強大的力量，卻並不以力量來征服，而是腐壞人們的內心引導其走向邪惡，從而毀滅不列顛尼亞。這種鬥爭對於聖者來說更加嚴酷。
