本游戏在众多的日本角色扮演游戏中可以说是一个异数，它不像标准的日式角色扮演游戏那样只着重人物的升级以及剧情的发展，反而以解谜的过程为目的。 整个游戏以2D画面呈现，采单人即时方式战斗。 剧情较难于游戏中了解，主要是解开各种谜题以通过迷宫，和魔界召唤有点类似。 游戏中共计有44个迷宫，算是个颇大的游戏，因此要玩完需要花费不少时间。 而主角的能力系随着攻防的经验逐渐累积增加，设计得还算合理，难度并不算高，谜题的难度也适中。
