Farland Story V: Daichi no Kizuna (ファーランドストーリー 大地の絆) is the fifth entry in TGL’s long-running tactical-RPG line. Released for the NEC PC-9801 on 17 March 1995 in both 3.5-inch and 5-inch floppy editions, it keeps the series’ isometric, grid-based battles but introduces its first female lead: Princess Kishna Saldiss. She bolts from a politically arranged wedding meant to end the war between the earthbound kingdom of Lurafan and her own aerial realm Saldiss, and must gather allies while chased by both armies. Thirty-eight scenario maps, mid-battle talk events and “friendship” bonuses encourage use of the whole twelve-unit roster. A fresh 20-track FM/MIDI score and hand-drawn 640 × 400/16-colour portraits round out the package.
