The Legend of Heroes III: Shiroki Majo — Renewal is Falcom’s tuned-up build of the 1994 PC-98 classic.
Battle pace and EXP curves were re-balanced; formation memory was added; spell-cool-downs shortened.
Several late-game encounters were weakened, while the ending theme was swapped for a new vocal track — the most obvious sign-post of the “Renewal” build.
Small UI niceties (auto-equip shortcuts, quicker text scroll) make the pilgrimage less grindy, yet the 16-colour art and chapter map layouts stay exactly as players remember.
