T-time Technology lanzó la primera generación de "The Millionaire of 3 Kingdoms" en 1994, lo que puede decirse que sentó las bases de esta popular serie de juegos. Tras su lanzamiento, recibió elogios de muchos jugadores. Las ventas totales del juego superaron las 80.000 copias y fue nombrado mejor juego de puzles de 1994. Un modo de juego similar a Monopoly, personajes extremadamente adorables de estilo Q, diálogos absurdos y divertidos... Lo que interpreta es, en realidad, la historia de los Tres Reinos, llena de lágrimas y sangre. Aunque hoy ya no parezca extraño, en aquel momento no eran frecuentes los juegos que parodiaban la historia de esa manera. Sin embargo, quizá fue precisamente ese ambiente relajado y libre, que usa el humor para representar la solemnidad trágica de "cuántos de los que combatieron en la antigüedad regresaron", y esa forma de presentar personajes e historias conocidos por todos, lo que permitió que el juego triunfara de una vez y creara así esta serie clásica.
