这款由 Artech Studios 制作的《Monopoly》是经典地产交易桌游的电脑化版本，目标并不只是把纸上棋盘搬到屏幕里，而是用更有表现力的方式，把家庭桌游体验改造成更生动的 PC 游戏。玩家依然要按照《Monopoly》的基本规则购买地产、收取租金、建造房屋与旅馆，并通过资金运作逐步压垮对手；但和传统实体桌游相比，这一版加入了很多电脑游戏化的表现方式，例如带动作演出的 3D 棋子、带语音个性的棋子角色，以及由 Mr. Monopoly 负责串场的语音主持。除此之外，它还不只是单一棋盘的简单移植：玩家除了可以游玩经典地图，还能体验主题化城市棋盘，并调整多种自定义规则，例如 Free Parking 奖池、监狱相关设定等，甚至还能自己制作带有专属名称和图片的自定义棋盘。也正因为这些强化内容，这一版《Monopoly》给人的感觉不只是“电子版桌游”，而更像是 1990 年代末期那种很典型、很讲究演出和可玩变化的家庭 PC 改编作品。
