这作基本没有“固定主角剧情”，更像一部由你亲手写下的文明编年史：从史前时代扩张定居点、发展制度与科技，到现代乃至更遥远的未来，你每一次决策都会在地图上留下连锁反应——盟友可能因利益分歧变成对手，小国可能靠外交与科技逆袭，繁荣也可能被环境与治安问题慢慢侵蚀。它的叙事魅力来自“历史进程的因果感”：你看到的不是一条主线，而是帝国在时间洪流里如何被你塑形。
依旧是回合制 4X：建城扩张 → 发展经济/科研 → 外交或开战 → 走向胜利。本作很有辨识度的点在于：
时间跨度一路推到公元 2300 年，包含更明显的未来科技与社会形态。
引入更“宏观治理”的 Public Works（公共工程）：你用全帝国的公共工程池去铺路、农场、矿场等地块改良，不用每座城都手动盯到很细。
污染与灾害压力更突出：工业化会带来污染，严重时会出现“死地块”等代价；而且你可以把环保议题带进外交谈判（例如污染相关协定）。
胜利条件走多路线：征服、永久联盟的和平胜利、以及以 Gaia Controller 为目标的科技胜利等。
