Tokimeki Memorial é uma série de simulação de encontros da Konami. Ela consiste em oito jogos principais, além de muitos spin-offs. Os jogos são notáveis no gênero de dating sim por serem altamente não lineares.
A jogabilidade de Tokimeki Memorial se concentra em agenda, encontros e desenvolvimento de atributos. O jogador tem tempo limitado para dividir entre convidar membros do sexo oposto para sair e desenvolver as habilidades do personagem jogável na escola e no esporte, com o objetivo de longo prazo de se tornar mais atraente, e não por qualquer valor intrínseco. Os encontros são frequentes, mas muito breves, geralmente com apenas uma pergunta de múltipla escolha para determinar se o medidor de afeto da parceira ou parceiro aumenta ou diminui. Uma jogada dura um período fixo de três anos do ensino médio, cerca de 5 a 10 horas de jogo, ao fim do qual o personagem com o medidor de afeto mais alto confessa seu amor.
